Valley prepares for War
Today's article is from The Evening Times December 8th 1941 edition.....it is the day after Pearl Harbor. How hard it must have been for the families waiting to here that their loved ones were safe from the attack. Three industries started on sabotage measures.....Lehigh Valley Railroad for transportation, Ingersoll Rand for machining tools, and Belle Knitting Corporation for making shirts for the Navy. Big changes would come to the valley after that fateful day.
